My name is Kobie. I became addicted to backpacking in late 2010 while exploring Europe. I lived and studied Media Arts in Italy for my second semester of second year. I then decided to do a Topdeck tour around Europe after uni finished, and then backpacked solo in Italy and Greece for the remainder of my trip.
I have talked to a lot of people over the years about my adventure, and they often question how I coped travelling by myself - mostly due to the fact I'm female and in my early 20's. I have dedicated this blog and the information I have put into it to help and hopefully inspire the young gals (and guys) of Generation Y to build up their courage and knowledge base to venture into the big wide world - solo.
All my posts relate to the life lessons learnt on my last trip in Europe, and gee did I learn a hell of a lot. Next I am off to America on a working holiday, where I will be backpacking solo around Canada, some of the USA, Peru and finally New Zealand.
